Setting up the Bridge on Linux/Windows


Introduction

This brief tutorial will show you how to set up the bridge on both Windows and Linux distributions. Ever since May, this tutorial is a bit out of date. It occurs that the bridge is implemented in the package downloaded, in order to set up a server (At least on windows).


Requirements

Important: Make sure you had set up a server by following this tutorial Getting Started with Server


Windows

1. Download the [Windows Bridge Package]

2. Extract to your server-files folder

3. Run the updater.exe and let it finish updating the required files

4. Finally, Launch the server.exe and have fun!


Linux

Prerequisite

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y libunwind8 icu-devtools curl libssl-dev

Setting up server

Getting the server up and running on linux is very very easy.

# Make sure to cd to the correct server folder
cd ~/ragemp-srv

# Downloading the bridge package
wget http://cdn.gtanet.work/bridge-package-linux.tar.gz

# Unzipping the package
tar -xzf bridge-package-linux.tar.gz

# Run the server (make sure it has the correct permissions set)
./server
